Ever wondered if you could get a unified view of device configuration versions of a particular device or a group of devices and thereby carry out certain operations in bulk with ease?
DeviceExpert has provision for a unified view to perform certain actions on the backed up configuration versions. Viewing the required configuration versions, comparing versions, marking configuration changes as either authorized or as unauthorized in bulk can all be performed from a centralized page.
This unified view can be invoked from the device details page for a specific device (Actions –> Configuration View) or from the device groups page (Actions –>Configuration View) for a group of devices. This view serves as the central place for accessing all the available configuration versions for a particular device or a group of devices.
This view can be further filtered based on time period – say viewing the changes done during the past seven days or 30 days or even today, yesterday etc. You can specify a custom range too.
This unified view makes comparison between any two versions of the same device very simple. You can view the changes done during a particular time period and thereafter view the difference between any two versions. Not just the diff, but also ‘who’ changed the configuration and ‘when’.
