- Option to Save, Edit, or Delete a Custom Report has been included.
- Inventory Reports will now show the ‘Currently Logged in User’ in a computer at the time of report generation.
- Inventory Computer Details will now include information related to a computer’s Physical Memory.
- Computers running Windows 7 will not be automatically detected during inventory scanning.
- Support for applying user configurations when you switch from one user to another has been included for Windows Vista and Windows 2008.
- Option to add computers manually to a custom group has been included.
- A new report “Software Product Key” has been added under Inventory module.
- The Patch Management views can now be filtered based on the OS Languages.
Bug Fixes
- Special Characters have been handled in Password and Help Desk tickets.
- Issue in showing duplicate listing of computers in the Som page has been fixed.
- Issue in deploying patches in bulk has been fixed.

Support for Windows 7 Included
The latest update to Desktop Central includes support to Windows 7. Like any other OS, you will now be able to perform inventory scans, apply configurations, deploy software, deploy patches and so on.
Get the Product Keys of OS and Applications Instantly
With the inclusion of a new report, Software Product Keys, you will now be able to get the product keys of various Microsoft OS and applications that are being used in a computer. You will now be able to associate a key to the computer/user easily.
What’s Cooking?
The features in our roadmap that are currently under development include:
- Enhanced distributed architecture: Computers in remote locations will contact a master agent in that location, which will communicate with the Desktop Central Server to process the requests. Details>>
- Enhanced User Access Control: Admin users of Desktop Central will be able to delegate more fine-grained access to Technicians to access specific features/modules of the product. Details>>
- Support for Third Party Patches: Support for automatically detecting and installing patches for non-microsoft applications such as Adobe, Firefox, etc.
