Desktop Central 2007

Endpoint Central | December 24, 2007 | 1 min read

Over all the year 2007 was good for Desktop Central ! We have released DC 6 with our new architecture which supports Work-group and multiple active directory domains. Even though it is released in the last quarter of the year we got a very good response for this new release. We have added Inventory (asset management) feature in the second quarter of this year, it provides complete hardware and software inventory. In the software part, it provides software licensing, metering and compliance. Many customers are using this feature effectively and asking more enhancements. We have enhanced the software deployment feature with Run as, copy option, support for EXE, etc. This is another important feature used by our customers. We have strengthened other features like Patch Management, Configurations, User Logon Reports, AD Reports and tools.

Also we have released a new “free windows tools” which includes Wake On LAN, Shutdown/Restart tool, Remote GPO Update, Software Inventory tool and Join/Unjoin computer tool. We are planning to add more such free tools. These tools will help the administrator during troubleshooting and managing windows desktops.

To summarize, we were busy releasing new features and supporting our customers. It is happy to see a lot of new features in our product and many people are using them ! Without our customers’ cooperation it is impossible to achieve this, my sincere thanks to all our customers.

More challenges are ahead for the year 2008, we are happy to take them up and solve one by one !

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2008 !

Thanks
Mathi
