As we reach the end of the year, many of us are looking back to see how our resolutions for the year 2022 went. Well we don’t know about you, but at Applications Manager, we kept to our resolution to work to deliver the best possible version of our tool. Here’s a look back at 2022 and every milestone we crossed this year.
What was new in 2022?
Although much of our focus was on developing enhancements for cloud monitoring, Applications Manager added a few more features to its catalog this year. We even received recognition from leading market analysts. Let’s take a look at this year’s highlights.
Enhancements to Azure monitoring
The Microsoft Azure Cloud monitor was studded with a few more new services this year.
The newly added Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL Instance, and Azure Load Balancer monitors help widen the scope of visibility into your Azure environment, shedding light on more Azure instances from a single console. The new monitors specialize in tracking the respective KPIs efficiently and helping point out the root cause of any given issue.
Monitoring REST API sequences
APIs are an inherent part of modern applications. Owing to the complex workflows these applications possess, it becomes crucial to monitor API endpoints and sequences to ensure optimal performance. With our Rest API Sequence monitor, you can track the availability of multiple APIs in a single session, without missing a single strand. Apart from this, we also extend support for response forwarding, which can help you identify performance bottlenecks with ease.
We also added SAML authentication and Prometheus integration in Applications Manager this year. Users can now set up an SSO authenticator with the help of an IdP using the SAML authentication. Applications Manager now supports the Prometheus integration, enhancing the auto-discovery of Tomcat servers and adding them as individual monitors in the console automatically.
Feature releases are one thing, but we have much more to celebrate about 2022.
Recognition and appreciation: 2022

This is a resource for gaining objective insights into the application performance monitoring (APM) market and its vendors. We believe in consistency with improvement, and that led us to earning a place on this red carpet once again; we plan on continuing the legacy.
There’s one more achievement that added a jewel to Applications Manager’s crown: ManageEngine Applications Manager won Best Application Performance Monitoring Brand at Enterprise IT World’s CIO Select Awards 2022, which took place in Bangalore along with Enterprise IT World’s Hybrid Cloud Summit & Awards 2022.
