Singapore-UC

The early morning sun infused with a hint of rain marked the beginning of our maiden customer conference in Singapore.

This being my first visit to the country, I decided to make the most of it by venturing into unknown streets and capture some of the local moments. As a child, I had read and heard wonderful things about this city, especially about its massive infrastructure and welcoming, multi-cultural society. It was a great experience to see it live, finally!

From the super-fast Internet connection (Singapore is among the top 10 nations in terms of Internet speed) to the widely-connected public transport, the variety of delicious cuisines, and the breathtaking architecture that would leave you spellbound, this island nation has everything to impress first timers and seasoned travelers alike. But now, I must shift the focus back to business.

South East Asia has long been a fast-growing market for ManageEngine. Recently, we have been conducting small yet very effective customer conferences in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia. The emergence of new markets for newer technologies combined with IT decision makers who are willing to adopt lighter, agile, and cost-effective ways to manage IT was prompting us to invest more in this region.

A customer meet up in Singapore was long overdue. Kicking off my keynote speech with “Wan Shang Hao” – “Good morning” in Mandarin – was enough to break the ice, and the keynote turned out to be the best session I’ve ever had with our customers. Not only was it a great experience for us, but we also learned that 80 percent of our attendees had just come to meet us and learn more about the various products and solutions we offered.

The surprise element of the day turned out to be the moment when one of our customers, who is a CTO and co-founder of Comtel’s MSP business,  , stood up to share his experience using ManageEngine products – OpManager, ServiceDesk Plus,  and IT360. He shared his team’s experience with ManageEngine, right from the POC stage to using the product on daily basis in the production environment. This gentleman was also using our solutions in his previous position as the CIO of a leading semiconductor manufacturing company.

It was a great experience for us and other guests at the event to listen to the customers’ experiences with ManageEngine solutions. Like they say, customers are your products’ best brand ambassadors, and we just met several of them in Singapore.

Now, with the event done, I am absolutely elated to say that it was a great success. We have  plans to invest more in this region and ramp up our technical and customer engagement efforts as well.

Another reason to step up our efforts is the fact that Singapore is the data center hub of this region. Our service desk and application performance management (APM)  services are already available in the cloud. With the increase in SaaS adoption, the number of services available from ManageEngine is sure to grow.

In an era where our competitors believe in acquisitions to increase the user base, we stick to our philosophy of growing organically by investing more in technology and the right people. As we increase our activity in South East Asia, we invite our customers to take advantage of our suite of products and associated services, either through our local presence or through our partners spread across the region.

Your confidence in ManageEngine inspires us to build better products to meet your business objectives at an affordable price.

Until we meet again, Singapore!
