We are elated to announce that ManageEngine has again been recognized as a Challenger in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privileged Access Management. We believe that this is a testament to the consistency with which ManageEngine delivers a holistic experience for enterprise IT.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant evaluated vendors on the basis of their Ability to Execute and their Completeness of Vision.

This is the second year in a row where ManageEngine has been named a Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management, and marks the fifth time we have been named in this report.

ManageEngine has been active in the privileged access management (PAM) industry for over fifteen years now, having helped over one million IT administrators across the globe. We have been consistently improving to meet market requirements. In the past year, we made significant steps towards addressing the PAM needs of modern enterprises.

Here are our some recent enhancements and releases that we believe contributed to our recognition in the Gartner Magic Quadrant this year.

PAM360 is more developer-friendly than ever

PAM360’s recent additions included a complete set of universal connectors such as SDKs and SCIM connectors, making the solution more accessible for administrative developers than before. With that, all privileged operations that are performed on separate developer applications and external projects can now be under the purview of PAM.

Access control at a node-level with endpoint privilege management

Among other things, PAM360 now offers end-to-end endpoint privilege management for Windows environments through its fine-grained application controls, powered by ManageEngine’s enterprise application control tool—Application Control Plus. Administrators can configure two modes when users access endpoints: Strict Mode and Audit Mode. Strict Mode only lets users launch applications in the allowlist for the target endpoint. While in Audit Mode, users can launch and access all applications except those in the blocklist.

Business workflow automation with PAM360

PAM360 can now be accessed through Zoho Flow’s extensive app gallery, allowing integration with critical business workflows for various privileged tasks. These tasks enable the automatic execution of actionable features within PAM360’s interface using reserved RESTful APIs.

Other enhancements

1. A user-friendly login option in PAM360: Smart Login through QR codes.

2. Time-based one time password (TOTP) login mechanism

3. Security hardening dashboard

4. And much more!

We concur that these enhancements—as well as ManageEngine’s consistent market presence—have assisted in increasing the adoption of ManageEngine’s PAM suite over the previous year and believe were vital influences for ManageEngine’s recognition as a Challenger in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management.

With that said, we owe a great amount of gratitude to our customers around the globe who have placed their trust in our ability to deliver. Without their patronage and crucial feedback that enabled us to improve further and refine our product offerings, all recognition would be in vain.
