Hello All,

Finally after a month long blog campaign running around Real-time IT, It’s time to bring in the last blog of the series. Today I would talk more on summary per se and also on Gartner’s research article written by noted analyst Jonah Kowall on ‘How to augment APM tool with other conventional monitoring tool’ which is attached in the eBook. We are finishing this series with a Webinar on January 25th . One of the ManageEngine IT360’s key MSP customer Adam Dunlap, Director, IT network solutions, Appalachia Technologies will also join the webinar from Pennsylvania, USA to talk about the benefits of Real-time IT and how ManageEngine IT360 is helping him to gain that visibility into his business critical IT infrastructure to run smoothly. Register for the webinar here.

Talking about the blog campaign, we looked into two main aspects of Real-time IT:

1)    The need of Real-time IT to run IT at the new speed of businesses.Read Blog

2)    Need of end user quality of experience to ensure smoother transaction experience.Read Blog

In both blogs you must have noticed that much of the emphasis is laid on APM and ways to ensure smoother running of the business critical applications. One of the key finding from the Gartner research on APM is:

“Combine server, network, database and storage base-level monitoring, with more in-depth levels of APM to provide a complete view of the application and its dependent components”

We with IT360 have been taking the similar approach to ensure all the components of IT are displayed and monitored from a single console. The diagram below will give a simpler approach to what we are trying to do. While doing so we went a step further by also integrating the service management console to same solution resulting into what we now call as an Integrated IT Management- Combining the silo’ed world of operations and service management.

Several other key findings are mentioned
in the Gartner report which are of prime importance when laying out an APM strategy few of them are:

APM does not replace these simple monitoring methods, which should be employed on server, network, database and storage components.

New application delivery models require different monitoring technologies, methodologies and vendor offerings.

The implementation of targeted deep-dive monitoring enables the rapid diagnosis and resolution of issues, providing valuable feedback during the application life cycle. Read More

Also included in the report are latest developments in APM which enables the IT to have complete visibility in to the process and troubleshoot problems at much faster rate:

Application prospective: The renaissance of monitoring

       Focus on sub components monitoring

The Role of the PMDB in APM and Conventional Monitoring

       Challenges of cloud delivery

Read the complete complimentary report in addition to the ManageEngine findings on Real-Time IT here. We will be discussing these findings from report and how solution from ManagEngine supports it, Also discussing would be various business opportunities ahead, associated c
hallenges and solutions. Register for the webinar here.

Cheers,

See you in webinar at 11:30 AM EST 🙂
