Desktop Central Extends Support for Patching JRE 1.6 & Adobe Acrobat 9

Desktop Central, in its latest update, extends support for automating patch deployment of Java Runtime Environment and Adobe Acrobat. The following versions are currently supported:
  • Java Runtime Environment 1.6
  • Java Runtime Environment 1.6 x64
  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional
  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional Extended
Given below are the steps to get this working:
  1. Download the latest update of Desktop Central and install as per the instructions provided here.
  2. Select the Patch Management tab and update the Vulnerability DB.
  3. Scan the computers in the network to get the details of the computers that needs the latest updates to JRE/Adobe Acrobat.
  4. Deploy the updates to these computers.
