Microsoft has released an advanced notification on March 29, 2010 for the proposed release of security bulletins on March 30, 2010. Earlier Microsoft has issued an advisory on March 9, 2010 for this issue and had stated that the patch will be released soon.
This out-of-band bulletin will address the attacks against customers using IE 6 & 7. Customers using IE 8 is not vulnerable to these attacks. This bulletin also includes patches for other vulnerabilities that are privately reported by customers for all versions of Internet Explorer.
The bulletin is rated as critical affecting all versions of Internet Explorer, viz 5.01, 6, 7 and 8.
Desktop Central will include support for these patches ASAP and update their Online Patch Database.
