Desktop Central 4 Released

Endpoint Central | April 5, 2006 | 1 min read

It’s Out… yeap Desktop Central 4 is out there for General Availability.

Check http://demo.desktopcentral.com for the patch integrated Desktop Central demo.

I would realy love to thank the Early Access users who had given some valuable realtime feedbacks for shaping up the product.

The hightlight of this release are

* Local user/group management and

* Patch Management for windows

I love the first feature (even though PM is critical 😉 and its been beautifully handled ), because it really addresses the System Administrator’s needs.

For example, in an small network of 500 to 700 machines, if there is a need to change the local administrator password for some reason, imagine the pressure on the administrator’s side. Now Desktop Central 4 makes this procees easier, you can create a configuration to reset the password of every user’s local computer administrator password, and after the configuration roll out it provides the status of the configuration whether it is applied or what? The hectic and time consuming job will be done in few minutes.

Try the download and send in your feedbacks.
