Easter is done. Easter eggs found! I couldn’t help but notice the similarities and “dissimilarities” between the Easter eggs and random applications in the network.

Similarity #1 – Both need to be searched for.
Dissimilarity #1 – Easter eggs are fun to search for and the other is just nuisance!

Similarity #2 – Both are hidden!
Dissimilarity #2 – One by the Easter bunny and the other by a naive user who has no idea about the problem he is creating for other network users.

Similarity #3 – Finding them is very significant!
Dissimilarity #3 – Finding Easter eggs is sheer joy and finding the other is significant for the business critical application in your network.

Reality byte – In the real world and real network it is very important, being a network administrator, to get your hands on the applications that are hogging your precious bandwidth. Your business critical applications take a bad hit and this is no good. The real network is anything but Easter.

Hidden eggs are fun to search for and we don’t want to spoil the fun by giving you a tool to do that. But random bandwidth-hogging-applications are a nightmare and we have a tool in mind and .exe / .bin downloadable files (literally!) to help you find those with ease!

Get a clear visibility of all the applications on your network in just 3 clicks!

Click 1:

(please click to enlarge the below given images, these clicks are not counted!!)

ManageEngine Netflow Analyzer

The network snapshot page appears, click on a particular interface to drill down (click 2):

Then comes the traffic page, here click on “Applications” tab (Click 3):

Voila!!

You can also tweet to me on more similarities and dissimilarities between the network and Easter!

Cheers
