As in the past, 2016 has been yet another eventful year for cyber security. Hackers digged further, phishing out new ways to lay their hands on classified information. Organizations fought hard, too, fortifying themselves better to hold safe the keys to their kingdoms. With so much at stake, like customer trust and brand perception, and with security experts continuing to put forth alarming figures for spikes in cyberattacks, IT security is proving to be a survival necessity. Amid all this, we at ManageEngine also had some exciting developments for Password Manager Pro. We crossed a couple of product milestones, caught the eyes of experts, evoked positive feedback socially, and got recognized continually for the invariable support we provide our customers.

Today, we have around 300,000 IT admins in 114 countries using Password Manager Pro to manage more than millions of passwords. Our presence across verticals has also expanded widely to include healthcare, universities, managed services, telecommunication, construction, federal agencies, airlines, and retail chains. And more than a hundred of the world’s top banking institutions rely on our solution to protect the privileged accounts of their critical assets.

We mainly attribute this consistent growth to our customers’ willingness to work closely with us all these years. It has helped us build a product that effectively protects their IT, better understand their future needs, and identify the areas of privileged identity management we need to focus harder on. A few of the features we added this year include:
–  Support for monitoring privileged sessions to remote databases
–  Query reports
–  Additional REST APIs to strengthen application-to-application password management
–  Azure AD integration
–  Duo Security two-factor authentication
–  Password reset provisions for IIS AppPools

We also concentrated on enhancing every feature and aspect of the product, an on-going activity directed towards significantly improving customer experience as a whole. Moreover, with customers beginning to shift to the cloud and increasingly adopt virtualization technologies, we also saw it fit to make Password Manager Pro available on both AWS and Azure marketplaces.

You know your efforts have made a difference when your customers choose to share their success stories socially. Much to our delight, a few of our happy customers of 2016, such as Kembit, Kokosing and ACT gave strong testimonials. We also received some great feedback from our users on renowned platforms like G2 Crowd and Spiceworks. Watch Said Youssef discuss how Password Manager Pro protects nearly 7,000 clients and 200 servers in his organization and how its reporting tool has benefitted the IT team:
