Life was pretty simple when 2016 began. But whoa, what a dynamic year it has been. A lot of surprises, a lot of disappointments. There were moments of joy and then there were moments when our jaws just couldn’t hold up. And all of them started from one decision. A decision to change. Be it Britain’s exit from the European Union or Donald Trump’s triumph in the US presidential elections, change always brings new perspectives.
We, at ManageEngine, too witnessed our fair share of changes. We saw changes in demand, industry, people and of course, IT in general. And we didn’t just adapt. We evolved.
On an average, we released a new product every two months.
Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg left their mark on the world with their ultimate innovation, The Solar Impulse. It’s the constant hunger for newness that drives people to innovate. And the same hunger drove us when we came up with these new products:
- Patch Connect Plus: Third-party patch management with Microsoft SCCM
- OpManager Plus: Industry’s first, 5-in-1 integrated network management software
- O365 Manager Plus: A complete Office 365 reporting solution
- Analytics Plus: Advanced analytics for IT
- Key Manager Plus: Web-based SSH key and SSL certificate management
- Mobile Device Manager Plus (Cloud): Enterprise mobility management software
- File Audit Plus: Real-time auditing for Windows file servers
We reset our benchmarks with massive growth in customer bases.
Now, success is a relative term. Some say that it can be measured in money, some say market. But for us, the true measure of success is what we accomplish against intense competition. Every solution in our portfolio reached a greater height in 2016. The following numbers are just a glimpse of our growth this year:
-
17,000+ customers worldwide now use ADManager Plus for identity and access management (IAM).
-
750,000+ new endpoints under management in 2016.
-
2.5 million+ new network devices monitored in 2016.
-
23,000+ new users joined our community.
We believe in bringing IT together.
In 2016, Seoul set an example of unity with their peaceful protests. And inspired by what can be achieved with things united, we integrated a lot of our products.
-
We introduced the industry’s first ever, 5-in-1, integrated network management solution. A solution that provides a single pane of glass to manage network and servers, bandwidth performance, firewall logs, configuration changes, and IP address and switch ports.
-
We also integrated two of our major products, ServiceDesk Plus and ADManager Plus. Why did we do that? So that our customers can create and manage AD accounts and establish secured automation of simple AD activities from their help desk console.
We continued our belief in excellence.
We’ve always believed in outstanding performance. Yusra Mardini, Syrian swimmer and a member of the 2016 Refugee Olympic Athletes Team, proved a point this year. You don’t have to defeat others to stand out. Proving yourself and winning the hearts of the audience/customers is what matters the most. We, too, proved ourselves on various occasions:
-
ServiceDesk Plus received PinkVERIFY certification for IT change management and IT request fulfillment processes.
-
AssetExplorer earned the top value score in Info-Tech ITAM research.
-
ADAudit Plus and EventLog Analyzer were placed in the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant.
-
Mobile Device Manager Plus was positioned in EMA Radar 2016.
Excellence is not achieved in a day. It’s a continuous process that we’ve been practicing for years. Many of our products have been best in class for more than 10 years. And the pillar on which we’ve developed all our products is customer interaction. And that’s why, with every year we’re hosting more and more events. Over 45 user conferences and seminars that we conducted this year, is just a beginning.
We have achieved, yet we don’t rest. All of this has only added to our hunger to serve our customers better. Industry needs something new everyday. Demands never stop. And we won’t stop, either.
So here we welcome 2017, with a new perspective. A perspective yet to be unveiled.
