ManageEngine CloudSpend, a cloud cost management tool, is excited to announce the release of its new, Reports feature. CloudSpend’s Reports feature automates report generation for integrated cost accounts, utilizing tags like Region, Service, and Billed Accounts for each one. This offers several advantages, like receiving pre-made reports that are generated by parsing your cloud bills; gaining valuable knowledge about your organization’s cloud spending, usage, and trends; setting budgets; managing cloud bills; and receiving alerts in case of budget breaches.

With CloudSpend Reports, you will be able to schedule reports and receive a comprehensive analysis of your cloud spending by viewing the Reports Dashboard, Reports Spend Analysis, or Reports Resource Explorer sections. Additionally, you can estimate future cloud bills based on historical spending.

Tag-based Reports

Reports for AWS and Azure commonly include the Region, Service, and Linked Account tags. For an instance, if a report is auto-generated for an AWS service like an Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) cluster, then the report display name will be followed by the cluster name, or it will use the selected tags as the report name.

On a different note, CloudFront reports are generated based on data transfers. Therefore, the report naming convention includes the CloudFront service name followed by the data transfer region tag value, where regions represent AWS regions. For Azure tag-based reports, if a report is auto-generated for an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) cluster, then the report name assigned will be the cluster name.

View, edit, and process Reports

The Reports feature in CloudSpend enables you to have access to an overview of your cloud accouns’ expenses, including the previous month’s spending, the current month’s accrued cost, and the estimated cost for the future. In addition, it organizes all AWS or Azure tags and creates a comprehensive report for each account. You can also access the Spend Analysis and Resource Explorer dashboard from the Reports page.

Budget Reports

By setting up Budgets for Reports, you can take a proactive approach to managing your costs. These budgets can be configured to run on a monthly, quarterly, yearly, month-to-date, or year-to-date basis and will notify you of any cost overruns, allowing you to track and manage your cloud expenses within the designated budget.
