We have exciting news for our iOS application users!* You can now access your critical app performance data right from the Control Center of your iPhone!

We know how hard it is to keep up with a dynamic IT infrastructure in real time. It gets even harder when you have to fire up your PC every time you want to take a look at the performance of your business-critical applications.

To make it easy for you to keep an eye on your infrastructure, applications, and cloud deployments, you can now add the features you want to monitor as widgets in your iPhone’s Control Center, so you can have a mini monitoring station right at your fingertips.

Here are the features you can add as widgets:

Critical Monitors: The Critical Monitors widget will help you identify the monitors with critical health. With this widget, you can navigate through the components that need immediate attention and assess the health metrics to fix them before their availability drops fatally.

Down Monitors: Using the Down Monitors widget, you can view the monitors that are down with performance anomalies and poor health. This helps you gain a compound view of the components that need immediate attention and act to fix the health and availability of the components before end users experience any service issues.

Active Alarms: You will be able to access all your critical alerts right from your Control Center by adding the Active Alarms widget. This widget allows you to view and sort your active alarms according to the severity level, so you can act accordingly.

Monitor Groups: With the help of the Monitor Groups widget, you can access the existing monitor groups and monitor them remotely, so you can see the health and availability of a monitor group as a whole right from your iPhone.

What’s the point of “just another widget on the wall?”

One of our IT admins, Alec, was in a meeting with the partners, presenting the growth and resource requirements to propose a roadmap for the next financial year. He gets a ping from a developer, saying one of his web applications has not been responding for the last fifteen minutes. Alec, being an admin, now has to look for the anomalies in the application performance and identify the cause for the slowdown. Switching his screen to Applications Manager would mean interrupting the presentation. But Alec is wise. He has the monitoring widgets floating right on his iPhone.

Alec doesn’t need to swipe endlessly through his app clusters to access Applications Manager. He scrolls down on his iPhone to access his Control Center and clicks on the Active Alarms widget. He scrolls through the alarms to find something that could be associated with the unresponsive web application. He finds a fatal resource starvation in the container environment on which the application is running. He takes a screenshot, forwards it to his team, and asks them to balance the load on the container to “fix the issue ASAP.” By the time Alec ends his presentation, he has a text from his team that says “app performance optimized.” No presentation spoiled, no application left unattended.

With access to your app performance on the go, this feature makes sure you never miss any performance anomalies in your IT environment. With Applications Manager’s unbeatable monitoring support for over 150 technologies, including infrastructure, cloud, ERP, digital experience, and many more, you will leave no stone unturned.
