Well, we have news to share!

FacilitiesDesk has released its ServicePack 5500 for 5200, 5201 and 5202.

New features in this release

  • Grid Layout: I will come up with a new post explaining this interesting feature in detail. For now, AutoCAD (our earlier feature) and Grid Layout are cool allies that facility managers can use to intuitively judge and calculate space available in order to optimize space utilization.
  • Another integration with ServiceDesk Plus: I am sure you haven’t forgotten about Non-Login Form. Now what we have for you is the following:
    • Hopping from FacilitiesDesk to ServiceDesk Plus is easy, which is great for the technician who handles both systems.
    • When a user or supervisor wants to lodge a request to ServiceDesk Plus while they are logged in to FacilitiesDesk, the maintenance request form will have the necessary fields to route their service desk request to ServiceDesk Plus (provided the ServiceDesk Plus settings are incorporated in FacilitiesDesk).
  • Meeting room booking for recurrent meetings

Fixes in Service Pack Build 5500

  1. Issue with Product Type Additional Fields has been fixed. Now the user will be able to get all their Meter Reading History while modifying Product Type Additional Fields as changes are made in Meter Type.
  2. Issue in Quick link open has been fixed.
  3. Issue in Pass through authentication in single sign-on has been fixed.
  4. Add requester issue in maintenance form search has been fixed.

Apart from these features, FacilitiesDesk 5 has localized versions available in Spanish and Russian.
