VoIP is making waves around the world especially in developed world. In India the VoIP seems to be catching up. According to infoworld.com, Yahoo is soon slated to enter VoIP market through its completely owned subsidy ‘Yahoo Internet Communications India’.
Yahoo news comes close on heals to the news about AOL entering Indian ISP space. According to Economic Times, AOL is all set to enter the Indian market through its Joint Venture with Mahindra & Mahindra.
Well thats not all, A Hyderabad based ‘Matallo’, powered by Nettlinx, has already launched is services and test marketing it in few prominant cities in Andhra Pradesh.
It is for sure that Indian VoIP scene is all for a change. It remains to be seen how the current players will react to this and who will be the ultimate leader.
Being a part of this industry, it is really great to see VoIP related activity in our own backyard.
