They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch. They also say there’s always a cost; you get what you pay for; and there must be a catch if someone is giving away something for free.

At ManageEngine, we say that’s not always the case. Sometimes there is a free lunch. In fact, we’re going to serve one at SITS14 – The Service Desk and IT Support Show at Earls Court in London. During the hours of 12pm -2pm on first day of the show, we are going to have food trucks outside the show compound providing a free lunch to all attendees of the show.

Where’s the catch?

There isn’t one – that’s the point.

We want you to come to our stand and choose from a variety of burgers or fish and chips and enjoy your lunch on us.

 Why give it away for free?

Just last month, ManageEngine made the help desk module of ServiceDesk Plus completely free to our existing customer base of 80,000 as well as to future customers with no limit to the number of tickets, technicians, or users.

With over 500,000 technicians in 186 countries using our software, ServiceDesk Plus Standard Edition is a great way for companies to get started on the path of service management.  Our standard edition is a low-risk entry point into help desk software that our customers can download, install, configure and get up and running in a couple of days.

ManageEngine wants to let SITS14 attendees know that they can get started with ServiceDesk Plus Standard Edition by coming to our booth 320 and get world-class help desk software for the same price as the lunches we’re serving at the show – free!

As expected, when the news of our disruptive move was announced in March, much of the IT community said it wasn’t possible to provide ServiceDesk Plus without some sort of catch or gimmick. As one of the most important events in the ITSM calendar (with over 4000 people in attendance last year), SITS14 is the right place to get our bold and game-changing new approach out to the very people who will benefit from it. We trust that the show attendees will see the free lunch campaign as a great way to reinforce our message that you really can get something for free, without a catch.
