Microsoft released an advance notification for their August 2010 patch Tuesday. Microsoft will release 14 security bulletins on August 10th addressing 34 vulnerabilities.
- Ten of the bulletins affect Windows; of those, five are rated as Critical and five are rated as Important.
- Two bulletins affect Microsoft Office; of those, once is rated Critical and the other as Important.
- One bulletin, which is rated as Critical, affects both Windows and Internet Explorer.
- One bulletin, which is rated as Critical, affects both Windows and Silverlight.
The Patch Assessment team at Desktop Central is getting ready for this monster patch tuesday and hoping to update these new patches to their online patch database at the earliest.
