With the web 2.oh craze all around and innovative applications of every type on the web, you just can't help your network inmates accessing them each day( all through the day, perhaps). In a sense web 2.0 has come to mean "2(too) much of an woe" to network admins like you, who are already stuck with bandwidth limitations.
You cannot afford to impose a blanket rule censoring all web 2.0 type applications for, you never know a substantial chunk of your employees may be improving their performance on job with Office Productivity applications suite like Zoho. And there is the section of the workforce that may be busy de-stressing watching streaming video songs as well :P . How do you bell the cat without hampering the folks using it for the right purpose :?:

[ <b>Mood:</b> Angelic ]<br />This whole blog thing started out of the need to create a more informal medium to share our thoughts, than our forums did. But as it turns out, a good one year since we started off, our blogs too talk about tech stuff most of the time.
Many of you, we believe, are already in the most serious of professions - managing the whole computer network, the IT infrastructure of your enterprise etc.. Being that we think what you need is a avenue to take occassional bouts of break. With work hours elongating and most of the working time spent on the comp what better way to chill out than on the net itself. The net is the antidote to the strain that the net inflicts. :D
To cut the story short, we plan to write on more informal things, and hopefully informative ones too :wink: We welcome you to share your thoughts along, and help us in fostering a healthy online commmunity here.

[ <b>Mood:</b> Happy ]<br />In a market flooded with myriad products - each of whom claim to do the best-in-class Bandwidth Monitoring & Traffic Analysis - it takes seasoned personnel to make the right choice.
Miercom's choice to go with "NetFlow Analyzer" in their testing of "Wan Optimization Appliances" from Orbital Data, Juniper Networks, Riverbed Technology in their May 2006 report ( Report 060501) came as a pleasant surprise to us - for 2 reasons.
1. to be chosen by an acclaimed testing agency in their attempt to come out with a report on the leading technology companies' products just goes on to show how much they were convinced with our product performance & accuracy
we believe this is reason enough for each of you evaluators out there to choose the right tool, right away :D
2. we came to know of this May 2006 report just now ( its past mid-Jan 2007 now) - that we had been used as the tool for evaluation of the giants in the WAN optimization space.
